The problem
Subscription merchants face disputes when a customer says they were never told a renewal was coming. In the UK, the DMCCA subscription regime is expected in Spring 2027; in the US, state auto-renewal laws (California, New York, Colorado and others) already set notice and cancellation expectations.
What Subnotice does
Subnotice sends pre-renewal emails timed to each subscription cycle and records every send with a timestamp and the delivery signals your email provider reports. When a subscriber disputes a charge, you export that trail as an evidence pack for your dispute response.
It also scans your published policy pages and gives a 0–100 readiness score with a prioritised fix list, so you can see where your subscription terms fall short before a regulator or a customer points it out.
Key features
- Pre-renewal notices timed per plan — monthly plans at 14, 7 and 1 day; annual plans start earlier
- Timestamped notice log with provider-reported delivery signals
- Exportable evidence pack for subscription-cancelled disputes
- Policy readiness score for UK DMCCA, US state ARL and EU wording checks
- Works alongside Recharge, Loop, Skio and native Shopify Subscriptions — nothing to migrate
Scope. Subnotice is readiness and evidence tooling. It is not legal advice, not a compliance certificate, and it does not guarantee dispute outcomes or prove that an email was read.
